Dear Senator Bernie Sanders,

we are having a hard time, everyone of us is facing global issues, from pandemic to climate emergency. 

Having role models like you is increasingly important.
 
One of your most recent, simple but extremely valuable, gestures has been the charitable initiative with an image gone viral on social media. I’m obviously referring to your wonderful mittens, that you wore at Biden’s presidential inauguration.

Why am I telling this? Because I have decided to portray you too 🤗👍

During the first months of Covid restrictions I rediscovered the passion for painture. 
Painture has meant to me a source of rebirth and also an instrument to reinterpret that time, a time which was going by without being really lived.

I drew what my emotions were suggesting, I changed the viewpoints, creating with images a sort of path through the pandemic phases and the related feeling.

Then in January 2021 I had the idea to paint a night landscape, precisely a night seascape, with two lonely boats... These boats are to me a symbol of waiting...A feeling that we are all still living. 
 
When my mum saw it (mums have always something to say and they are always right 😊) she asked me “Why don’t you place a fisherman on that poor abandoned boats? “
😊

And I had this intuition, I believe I realised it in less than 5 seconds... 
Could I simply draw a fisherman? 
Of course not!

It immediately crossed my mind the image of you. 
Even if we find ourselves in the eye of the storm you always lead by example, with your values, with your trust in a bright future and with a firm attitude, but at the same time calm attitude 🙏💙

And there it is, it’s you on a woodboat!!! 🤗

I can’t deny it would be an honour to deliver you  somehow the drawing.
Now I stop dreaming. Not always dreams come true, but I’m already very happy to have written this message.
